Rare Signed Danish Ceramic Tiled Floating Ox Art Trioh Coffee Table Scandinavian

A gorgeous, beautifully constructed and very rare Danish signed tiled top coffee table. Made in Denmark, most likely in the early/mid-1970s as a collaboration between Trioh furniture craftsmen and Ox Art ceramicists, this low square coffee table is a gem of a piece. 
 
In lovely condition and a great size for a coffee table, it combines a wonderful floating-top design with a stunning tiled top pattern and will add Mid Century style, artistic flair and Scandinavian quality to any setting. 
                   
Reassuringly heavy at 16kg, the base is made from beautifully round-edged rich auburn teak and features gorgeous interlocking joinery, lovely pronounced joint caps and a very rare raised floating-top design. 
 
Nine tiles sit within the frame and are hand-painted in an extremely rare multi-layered orange, yellow, brown & black sun pattern set within the distinctive Ox Art black striped border. 
 
The tiles are signed either 'SO' or '50' which we haven't been able to track down, but may have been the Ox Art signature before it developed into 'OX Art' and the underside is stamped 'Made In Denmark' and numbered 'KT Nr 272'.
 
An outstanding piece, this beautiful table matches a very rare and attractive base design with an equally unusual and scene-stealing tile design. This is a real gem and we don't expect to see another like it, so grab it while you can! 
 
CONDITION
This is in very good-to-excellent-condition. Structurally sound, the tiles are in excellent condition and there are only very minor marks and nibbles to the frame, as you'd expect for a used table of its age but overall it’s a gorgeous rare table in really lovely condition and if well looked after it should remain so for many more generations to come - please see the photos.
