A pair of super vintage black leather & brushed aluminium dining or occasional chairs. Based on Charlotte Perriand's quintessential design classic, the Les Arcs chair, these ooze 1970s-chic and will add super two-tone colouring, vintage charm and a striking semi-industrial aesthetic to any interior.
Practical, robust, made of beautiful quality leather & striking tubular brushed aluminium, these super chairs have a simplistic-yet-refined, semi-industrial and very Bauhaus look. Unlike the original Les Arcs chairs, these chairs, made in the style of Perriand's classic 1960s chair, do not stack and feature very cool bordering and curved stitching to the leather backs, but aside from that you'd be hard-pushed to tell the difference – apart from our very reasonable price!
The original versions of these chairs can sell for well over £5,000 per chair, with even modern replicas going for well over £1,000 each, so grab these gorgeous vintage icons while you can! This listing price is for one pair, chairs 3 & 4 – we have five chairs in total, listed as two pairs and a single – please get in touch for a bulk purchase.
CONDITION
These are in fair-to-good vintage condition. Built to last, these are structurally sound and very sturdy. The excellent quality leather is in very good condition with some minor to-be-expected marks and has been treated to keep it looking fantastic, protected and moisturised. The brushed aluminium frames and rivets show varying signs of metallic ageing, ranging from minor signs of age to some pitting in places, adding to their vintage authenticity and their robust look. The frames have been treated and polished to bring them back to their vintage best as much as possible. Overall this super pair are in lovely vintage condition with signs of age and if well looked after they should be just as magnificent for many decades to come – please see the photos.
